KUCHING, Oct 7 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian Army (TDM) will conduct the 3rd Malaysian Infantry Brigade's Exercise Satria Perkasa 2026 in the Bau, Lundu and Biawak areas from Oct 17-27.
Malaysia's First Infantry Division (1 Div) said the annual exercise aimed to enhance operational capabilities and preparedness to address security challenges.
"TDM will conduct the deployment of military vehicles and assets along the Bau-Lundu-Biawak route as part of the preparations for and execution of the planned activities.
"The public, especially road users along the affected routes, are requested to give their cooperation during the exercise period. The presence of Army vehicles and assets on public roads is part of planned activities, carried out in accordance with established safety procedures and protocols,” it said in a statement today.
It also advised the public against spreading speculation and unverified information or content that could cause anxiety and confusion.
"Any information regarding the activity should be referred to official and authoritative sources to ensure the accuracy of the information and to avoid the dissemination of incorrect news,” it added.
