KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 5 (Bernama) -- The Bumiputera Agenda Steering Unit (TERAJU), which recently became an agency under the Prime Minister’s Department, had the opportunity to get Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s views on its priorities in strengthening bumiputera economic development during a meeting today.
The agency was also able to highlight the progress of the Bumiputera Economic Transformation Plan 2035 (PuTERA35) to the Prime Minister, TERAJU said in a statement posted on its social media platforms.
TERAJU, led by its chief executive officer Junady Nawawi, paid a courtesy call on Anwar to discuss its role and strategic direction following its transfer from the Economy Ministry to the Prime Minister’s Department.
In the statement, TERAJU also reaffirmed its commitment to translating this direction into effective implementation, with a focus on strengthening the capabilities of businesses, expanding economic opportunities, and increasing Bumiputera participation in high-value sectors.
Also present at the meeting were Finance Minister II Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan and Treasury secretary-general Tan Sri Johan Mahmood Merican.
