MOSCOW, Oct 5 (Bernama-Sputnik/RIA Novosti) -- An inspection of employees of the Irkutsk Antiplague Research Institute has not revealed any changes in health status associated with infectious pathologies, Russian consumer rights watchdog Rospotrebnadzor said on Sunday, reported Sputik/RIA Novosti.
The watchdog conducted a set of inspections in connection with a case of illness in an employee of the Irkutsk Antiplague Research Institute.
"Two cases of COVID-19 and two cases of rhinovirus infection were identified as a result, with no pathogens of other infectious diseases detected. No changes in health status associated with infectious pathology were found in any of the contacts," the statement read.
The ill employee was found to have pneumonia of unspecified etiology, while no microorganisms associated with the employee's professional activity were identified, Rospotrebnadzor said.
No emergency situations during work with pathogenic microorganisms were detected at the institute, Rospotrebnadzor added.
