KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 3 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian Islamic Dakwah Foundation (YADIM) aims to roll out 500 programmes involving at least 10,000 participants through the National Dakwah Programme (PDN) 2026, which focuses on cultivating decorum, social harmony, and the use of technology in delivering dakwah messages.
Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs) Dr Zulkifli Hasan said PDN 2026, themed "Membangun Adab, Membina Negara" (Building Decorum, Building the Nation), runs nationwide from Oct 1 to Dec 31 across various physical and digital platforms.
He said dakwah approaches must continually adapt to contemporary changes to meet societal needs and address pressing community issues.
"This national dakwah programme will continue with various activities, programmes, and initiatives that have already been set in motion nationwide.
"Alhamdulillah, we can see positive impacts in enlightening, enriching, and guiding society towards goodness," he told reporters after officiating PDN 2026 here today.
Zulkifli said PDN 2026 is guided by five core pillars: Family Decorum and Human Development, Social Decorum and Harmony, Leadership and Nationhood Decorum, Knowledge and Intellectual Decorum, and Digital and Social Media Decorum.
According to him, the five pillars aim to reinforce moral values and decorum in everyday life, while ensuring dakwah messages are communicated effectively through modern channels, including digital platforms.
Also present were YADIM President Datuk Dr Hasan Bahrom, YADIM Senior Director (Training and Cadre Development Sector) Mahadi Awang, Federal Territory Islamic Religious Council (MAIWP) Chief Executive Officer Datuk Mohd Nizam Yahya, and Malaysian Islamic Economic Development Foundation (YAPEIM) Director-General Zabidi Nasan.
In a separate development, Zulkifli announced that Malaysia will host the 27th International Islamic Fiqh Academy (IIFA) Conference in Putrajaya from late November to Dec 3, bringing together scholars from 57 member countries of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
"This is a significant recognition for our nation, and we must seize this opportunity. With this gathering of scholars, God willing, we will receive blessings and benefit from their vast knowledge and scholarship," he said.
