WELLINGTON, Oct 2 (Bernama-Xinhua) -- An investigation has been launched after three family members were found dead at a home in Auckland, New Zealand's largest city, police said on Friday, reported Xinhua.
Police were called to an address on Cambridge Terrace in Auckland's Papatoetoe at about 6:40 pm local time on Thursday after receiving reports that a person had been found dead, Detective Inspector Karen Bright of the Counties Manukau Criminal Investigation Branch said in a statement.
Police found the reported victim, as well as two other people inside the home, all of whom were pronounced dead at the scene. Police said they did not believe there was any risk to the wider public, according to the statement.
A scene examination was underway to establish the circumstances surrounding the deaths, Bright said, adding that police were providing support to the victims’ family and neighbours.
