KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 1 (Bernama) -- Communications Minister Datuk Seri Fahmi Fadzil today wished the Information Department (JAPEN) a happy 116th anniversary, paying tribute to its role as a bridge between the government and the people.
Fahmi said JAPEN had served in that role for more than a century, evolving from face-to-face communication and printed materials to today’s digital platforms.
“My thanks to all JAPEN personnel for their unwavering commitment and service.
“As a key source of accurate and reliable information, continue to serve as a bridge between the government and the people by ensuring that information, policies and services are communicated clearly, are easy to understand and reach those who need them,” he said in a Facebook post.
