Al-Aqsa Mosque Must Be Defended, Israeli Incursions Violate International Law - Zulkifli

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 30 (Bernama) -- The incursion by illegal Israeli settlers into the Al-Aqsa Mosque Complex and the Ibrahimi Mosque in Palestine constitutes a clear violation of international law, asserted the Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs) Senator Dr. Zulkifli Hasan.

In this regard, he said he strongly condemns the series of extreme provocations carried out under the tight control of Israeli security forces.

He noted that the Al-Aqsa Mosque as the first ‘Qibla’ (direction of prayer) for Muslims represents a red line that must be defended by the entire Muslim community without compromise.

"The Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs) fully supports the firm stance taken by Wisma Putra and calls upon the international community to take appropriate action in response to the Zionist regime's insolence and to demand accountability," he said in a Facebook post today.

Zulkifli reiterated his unwavering solidarity with the Palestinian people's struggle to defend their rights and sovereignty, with Jerusalem as their capital.

At the same time, he urged Muslims across the country to remain united, increase their prayers, and voice their objections to uphold the sanctity of Al-Aqsa Mosque and ensure the safety of the Palestinian people.
