Royal Institution Pillar of Stability, Unifying Force - Perlis Raja Muda 

KANGAR, Sept 30 (Bernama) -- The Royal Institution is a pillar of stability, a bulwark of sovereignty and a unifying force for the people, the Raja Muda Perlis Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail said.

His Highness said the neutrality of the royal institution within the framework of a constitutional monarchy and parliamentary democracy played an important role in maintaining political balance, ensuring continuity of governance and strengthening harmony among people of different races and religions.

Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra said this when officiating the ‘Wacana Adiwangsa 2026: Institusi Raja, Warisan dan Jiwa Bangsa’ discourse at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Perlis Branch in Arau, according to a statement issued by Istana Arau today.

His Highness also hoped that the discussions and sharing of views would broaden understanding, raise awareness and strengthen the collective commitment to preserving the Royal Institution, empowering heritage and shaping a knowledgeable, integrity-driven and forward-looking generation.

Meanwhile, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra said heritage, culture and language must be strengthened as strategic assets and symbols of high-value identity, rather than being regarded merely as historical legacies.

“Traditional heritage must also move in tandem with innovation and technology so that it continues to develop, remain relevant and can be showcased on the international stage,” the Raja Muda said.

Wacana Adiwangsa 2026 was organised by the UiTM Perlis Branch as an intellectual platform to strengthen public appreciation of the Royal Institution and the importance of preserving heritage, culture and national identity.

The programme also focused on efforts to shape a younger generation that understands history, appreciates heritage and possesses a strong sense of identity in navigating contemporary changes.
