More Than Half Of Business Travellers Manage Own Connectivity - Holafly

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 30 (Bernama) -- More than half of planned business travellers manage their own internet access when travelling for work, according to Holafly's 2026 Summer Travel & eSIM Report.

The report found that 53.4 per cent of planned business travellers arrange their own connectivity, including through hotel or airport Wi-Fi, mobile roaming or other options after arriving at their destination.

Security was identified as the top connectivity priority by 41.7 per cent of business travellers overall, rising to 52 per cent among those whose organisations provide their mobile data, the report found.

“When a company provides the connection, employees do not have to make that decision themselves after landing. It gives them a clear, company-approved way to get online from the start while giving businesses greater control over the travel experience,” said Holafly Vice-President of B2B & Partnerships, Alex Bryszkowski.

In a statement, Holafly said the findings suggest that connectivity can form part of the employee experience and corporate travel arrangements, particularly when organisations provide mobile data directly to employees.

Holafly said its business service allows organisations to assign international eSIMs to employees before they travel and manage their plans centrally through its Business Center.

The company said the findings highlight the importance of connectivity arrangements as international business travel increasingly requires employees to have immediate access to corporate systems and work resources.
