23/09/2026 07:07 PM

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 23 (Bernama) -- A concentration of strong westerly winds is expected to occur in northern Peninsular Malaysia from tomorrow until Sunday (Sept 27).

The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) said via a post on platform X that the situation has the potential for the formation of a storm line that could bring thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds for a longer period in the affected areas.

At the same time, MetMalaysia said that based on references to the ASEAN Specialised Meteorological Centre (ASMC), the number of hotspots remains high in Kalimantan and has the potential to cause haze and low visibility in western Sarawak during the forecast period.

The public is advised to always refer to the website www.met.gov.my and the official MetMalaysia social media, as well as download the myCuaca application for the latest and accurate information.
