JEDDAH, Sept 20 (Bernama-SPA) -- Tickets are now on sale for the Jeddah E-Prix, which will kick off the 2026–2027 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship season at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit on Dec 18 and 19, marking the first time Jeddah will host the championship's opening rounds, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
The event will feature the competitive debut of the GEN4 car, the most powerful in the championship's history, with an output of up to 600 kW and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 1.8 seconds.
The season will also introduce a new race format titled "E-Prix Unleashed" alongside traditional E-Prix races.
The 3.001-km Jeddah Corniche Circuit, featuring 19 turns, will host the first two rounds of the new season as night races under floodlights.
The event will include a fan zone with interactive and family-friendly programmes, alongside post-race performances.
Acting CEO of the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation Mansour Almokbel said hosting the opening rounds reflects the Kingdom's growing role in shaping the future of motorsport and hosting world championships.
