KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 20 (Bernama) -- The new national football team jersey, inspired by the Malayan Tiger, is now available in stores ahead of the inaugural FIFA ASEAN Cup 2026 in Indonesia from Sept 25 to Oct 5.
According to Puma, the official apparel and jersey partner of Harimau Malaya, the new home jersey features bold black and yellow stripes, while the away kit comes in navy-grey skies with distinctive red and white trims on the collar.
The retail version is priced at RM319, while the authentic version costs RM549.
The Harimau Malaya squad will depart for Jakarta on Tuesday to compete in Division 1 of the FIFA ASEAN Cup 2026 after being drawn in Group A with hosts Indonesia, Singapore and Bangladesh.
Group B features Vietnam, Thailand, the Philippines and Pakistan.
Malaysia, ranked 136th in the world, will open their campaign against 181st-ranked Bangladesh at Gelora Bung Karno, Jakarta, on Friday (Sept 25).
The national side will then face hosts Indonesia, ranked 118th, at the same venue on Sept 28 before ending their Group A campaign against world No. 148 Singapore at Stadium Si Jalak Harupat, Bandung, on Oct 1.
Under the tournament format, the Group A and Group B winners will meet in the final at Gelora Bung Karno on the evening of Oct 5, while the two group runners-up will contest the third-place playoff at the same venue earlier that day.
