KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 16 (Bernama) -- All Malaysian nationals, including pilgrims, are reported safe and accounted for, with no reports of anyone being stranded or any flight disruptions following recent developments in Saudi Arabia.
The Foreign Ministry in a statement said it continues to closely monitor developments in the Kingdom while the Consulate General of Malaysia in Jeddah remains in close contact with Malaysian nationals and pilgrims.
“Malaysians residing in or visiting the region are nevertheless advised to stay informed and comply with directives issued by the local authorities.
“Malaysian travellers who have yet to register are urged to do so via e-Konsular at https://ekonsular.kln.gov.my,” it said in a statement on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Malaysia commends the swift and effective actions taken by the Saudi authorities in safeguarding the security and safety of Makkah, its residents, visitors and pilgrims.
“Despite several local security alerts, daily life and pilgrimage activities continue as usual,” it added.
Saudi air defences intercepted and destroyed a drone launched by the Houthi group near Makkah on Tuesday, amid heightened tensions with the Houthi group, international media reported.
