Four Days Of Consumer Activities At Jom Malaysia, CONFEST 2026 In Batu Kawan

PUTRAJAYA, Sept 14 (Bernama) -- The Jom Malaysia Programme and the Consumers Festival (CONFEST) 2026 will bring a range of interactive and beneficial consumer activities to the grounds of the Penang State Stadium in Batu Kawan from Sept 17 to 20.

In a statement today, the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) said the four-day programme will run from 10 am to 10 pm, showcasing the ministry's initiatives while gathering strategic partners, industry players and the local community.

"The programme aims to provide visitors with a closer, more interactive and beneficial consumer experience, while also serving as a platform to bring together various parties in advancing the consumer agenda," the statement read.

The statement said the Jom Malaysia Programme and CONFEST 2026 will be officiated by Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali on Sept 19.

The Jom Malaysia Promotion and Outreach Team was flagged off from Putrajaya to Penang today to boost the programme, in a ceremony officiated by KPDN secretary-general Datuk Seri Mohd Sayuthi Bakar.

The team will stop at selected rest and service areas for promotional activities, share information about the programme and interact with the public.

The convoy also features a rowing truck carrying Jom Malaysia and CONFEST 2026 promotional materials, a KPDN coaster van decked out in Jom Malaysia branding and GrabCar vehicles as support from strategic partners.

According to the statement, Jom Malaysia's official mascot, Jommy, is also taking part in the convoy to liven up the promotional activities and bring the campaign closer to the community.

The Jom Malaysia Festival was officially launched on June 27 and has previously been held at Pasar Seni, Kuala Lumpur, and in Sandakan, Sabah.
