ISKANDAR PUTERI, Sept 11 (Bernama) -- Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) extended their winning streak in the Super League with an emphatic 3-0 win over Negeri Sembilan FC at Sultan Ibrahim Stadium tonight.
JDT got an early lead through Shahab Zaheditabar in the 11th minute after Bergson da Silva’s shot from outside the penalty box was swatted out by Negeri Sembilan goalkeeper Muhammad Azri Ab Ghani.
Bergson then put himself on the scoresheet in the 30th minute, but his goal in the 47th minute was ruled offside.
Negeri Sembilan had a few shots in the second half but failed to translate the attempts into goals, and allowed JDT’s Marcos Guilherme to score off a neat pass from Arif Aiman Mohd Hanapi in the 65th minute to secure the home team’s fifth win of the season.
League leaders JDT will play Terengganu FC at Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Stadium on Oct 18.
