KUANTAN, Sept 11 (Bernama) -- The Communications Ministry has provided aid to the family of Nur Atiqah Sofiya Mohd Kazwan, one of four people involved in a fatal accident at KM110.3 of the East Coast Expressway (LPT) eastbound on Aug 31.

Communications Ministry secretary-general Datuk Abdul Halim Hamzah presented the assistance, comprising cash and sponsored items, at the home of the victim’s parents, Mohd Kazwan Kassim and Norlia Abdul Manaf, in Bandar Damansara today.

The assistance was provided as a sign of the government’s concern for the victims who were involved in the accident after they attended the 2026 National Day celebrations in Putrajaya.

Pahang Information Department director Rohani Chik was also present.

Media reports cited that four people were killed when a cement tanker lorry, believed to have lost control, crashed into several vehicles travelling slowly at the scene.

Pahang acting police chief Datuk Azry Akmar Ayob said the three victims in the Proton S70 were a married couple Muhammad Nazatullah Nazmi and Nur Atiqah Sofiya, and their son, while Seow Beng Wai was travelling in a Honda CR-V.
