SERDANG, Sept 5 (Bernama) -- Local halal meat producer DAEM Sdn Bhd (DAEM) has launched its digital ordering system, Integrated Management Autonomous Network (IMAN), marking the second phase of its five-phase development plan.

The artificial intelligence-driven system was launched by Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security secretary-general Datuk Seri Isham Ishak, in conjunction with the Malaysia Agriculture, Horticulture and Agrotourism Exhibition (MAHA) 2026 at the Malaysia Agriculture Expo Park Serdang (MAEPS) today.

DAEM co-founder and celebrity entrepreneur Muhammad Alif Mohd Satar, better known as Alif Satar, said while the first phase introduced the Direct Access to Exceptional Meats concept through mobile trucks, IMAN brought that experience digitally to customers via WhatsApp.

He said customers needed only to scan a QR code to interact with the IMAN chatbot without downloading additional applications, allowing them to check inventory, place orders, and make payments directly.

“We want to make it easy for customers to buy fresh meat. No new application or complicated process is needed - just WhatsApp to select, order, and pay,” he told reporters after the launch.

Also present were Department of Veterinary Services director-general Datuk Dr Mohd Noor Hisham Mohd Haron and DAEM co-founder Muhammad Radhi Azizan.

The company began operations on Aug 1, 2024, with the introduction of DAEM Meat Nomads, a mobile meat truck concept bringing halal products directly to consumers.

Alif said under its direct-to-consumer (D2C) model, the company aimed to provide next-day delivery across Kuala Lumpur and the Klang Valley using cold chain packaging.

For subsequent phases, the singer, actor, and presenter said the IMAN system was planned for integration via Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) with third-party logistics providers to enhance automated delivery and order tracking.

He said DAEM was also expanding its business to include live goat sales, as well as akikah and korban services, targeting sales of about 2,000 goats a month.

Meanwhile, Muhammad Radhi said DAEM’s five-phase roadmap aimed to build a secure and traceable farm-to-table ecosystem linking livestock sources, production, inventory, technology, delivery, and consumers.

Speaking to Bernama, he said the company was working to establish a diverse and secure livestock supply chain, aligning with national food security and self-sufficiency goals.

“The strategy is to source livestock from various local and international suppliers in phases while developing local farming and breeding capabilities.

“We will start with goats before expanding to cattle as our capacity and infrastructure grow,” he said.
