KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 5 (Bernama) -- Professional mixed doubles pair Hoo Pang Ron-Lai Pei Jing are one step away from a dream finish at the China Masters 2026 after advancing to the final in impressive fashion today.
The world number 85 Malaysians produced a dominant performance to defeat China’s Zhu Yi Jun-Li Qian 21-12, 21-10 in the semi-finals at Shenzhen Arena.
The straight-games victory took just 34 minutes, extending Pang Ron-Pei Jing’s impressive run at the Super 750 tournament.
It also marks the first Malaysian to advance to the final of the Super 750 championship this season.
The Malaysian pair will meet the winners of the other semi-final between China’s Feng Yan Zhe-Huang Dong Ping and Malaysia’s Goh Soon Huat-Shevon Lai Jemie.
