KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 4 (Bernama) -- Fashion brand Moncler is unveiling the untold story of New York in Moncler through one of the largest open-air public exhibitions the city has ever seen.
New York in Moncler will showcase peak moments that capture the bond between New York and Moncler, transforming communal spaces across the city into a retrospective gallery from Sept 9 to 13.
Moncler in a statement said large-scale photographs will showcase unforgettable experiences born from more than 20 years of close collaboration and cultural exchange, with the exhibition culminating in a dedicated space within Grand Central Terminal’s Vanderbilt Hall.
Works on display include A Hudson Hike, which marked Moncler’s New York ascent through the transformation of an iconic riverside site into an urban mountain, and A Grand Groove, which saw Grand Central Terminal’s Main Concourse transformed into a surprise runway for Moncler Grenoble’s Fall/Winter New York Fashion Week presentation.
A Central Skate features professional skaters in red, white and blue performing on Central Park’s Wollman Rink during a large-scale ice performance for Moncler Grenoble’s Fashion Week presentation, while A Ballroom Ballad showcases a monumental performance at New York’s iconic Hammerstein Ballroom, blending alpine vocal tradition with engineered choreography for the Moncler Grenoble Fall/Winter fashion show.
Also featured is Moncler’s Art For Love project, curated by Fabien Baron and developed in support of amfAR, which was presented at the New York Public Library during Fashion Week. Meanwhile, A State of Mind highlights the Moncler x Alicia Keys collection co-created with the cultural trailblazer and global icon, inspired by her memories of 1990s New York.
The moments on display have shaped Moncler’s evolution and helped establish the creative language that defines the brand today, with alpine-inspired design celebrated as both technical mountain apparel and a global metropolitan symbol of style, protection and human connection.
These landmark memories are also celebrated in a film released on Sept 3, bringing to life the story between Moncler and New York. Narrated by Alicia Keys over her unreleased new music, the film offers a visual expression of the bond between the brand and the city.
Together, these milestones established New York as a Moncler muse, a city where the brand demonstrated that fashion could deliver performance, provide a platform for creativity and create shared cultural experiences.
Moncler will also unveil its largest-ever global flagship, Moncler Fifth Avenue. The new location represents the latest chapter in the relationship between the city and brand and a physical embodiment of their connection.
