GEORGE TOWN, Sept 2 (Bernama) -- The George Town-bound route along the Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway here will be temporarily closed from Sept 7 to 9 to facilitate ongoing construction works for an elevated U-turn.
IJM Land Berhad, in a statement today, said the temporary closure and traffic diversions would be implemented from 10 pm to 5 am each day.
"The affected stretch covers the area from the Jalan Tunku Kudin junction to Jalan Ahmad Nor, and the works are part of the ongoing construction of the elevated U-turn, which will complement the Air Itam Bypass and help improve traffic flow along the Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway.
Motorists are advised to plan their routes accordingly, follow the updated road signage and exercise caution when travelling through the affected area to ensure smooth and safe navigation.
IJM Land said further updates on road closures and traffic diversions would be communicated as the project progresses.
It also expressed appreciation for the public's patience and understanding during the implementation of the works.
