Cub Prix Rider Farres Putra Dies After Accident During CP150 Final In Terengganu

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 29 (Bernama) -- Malaysian Cub Prix rider Farres Putra Mohd Fadhill died following injuries during an accident at the CP150 final of the round five Malaysian Cub Prix Championship at Litar Permotoran Terengganu today.

The Motorsports Association of Malaysia (MAM), in a statement, said the incident involving the CKJ Racing rider occurred at Turn 3 on the opening lap of the race.

MAM said Farres Putra, who raced with number 33, received immediate medical attention at the circuit before being transferred to Hospital Nur Zahirah, Kuala Terengganu.

Despite efforts by the attending medical team, he was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

“MAM acknowledges the swift response of the circuit medical team, emergency personnel, race officials, and the event organisers, Penang Motor Sports Club, together with the promoter, Safe Aim Mutual Sdn Bhd, in managing the incident,” the statement read.

MAM said the circumstances surrounding the incident would be addressed in accordance with the applicable sporting and safety procedures.

The association also extended its condolences to Farres Putra’s family, loved ones, CKJ Racing team and the Malaysian motorsports community.

“On behalf of MAM, we offer our heartfelt sympathies to Farres Putra Mohd Fadhill’s family, teammates, friends, and all those affected by this tragic loss,” it said.
