MOSCOW, Aug 20 (Bernama-Sputnik/RIA Novosti) -- Bitcoin, the most popular cryptocurrency, rose 7.32 per cent on Wednesday to US$70,000, according to trading data, reported Sputnik/RIA Novosti.
Binance, the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume, said Bitcoin was up 7.32 per cent over the past 24 hours as of 17:08 GMT.
CoinMarketCap, which calculates the average price across more than 20 exchanges, put Bitcoin's 24-hour gain at 7.51 per cent, with the cryptocurrency trading at an average of US$69,401.42.
