KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 19 (Bernama) -- Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today took time to visit three prominent Islamic scholars who are currently in Malaysia.
They are Egyptian hadith scholar Al-Fadhil Al-Allamah Al-Muhaddith Syeikh Dr Mustafa al-Nadwi Al-Hasani; world-renowned Quran reciter Al-Fadhil Al-Allamah Al-Muqri’ Syeikh Dr Ahmad Isa Al-Ma’sarawy; and grand custodian of the waqf, mosque and maqam of Syeikh Abdul Qadir Al-Jailani, Al-Fadhil Al-Syeikh Maulana Al-Sayyid Afeefuddin Al-Jailani.
In a Facebook post, Anwar said he took the opportunity to enquire about their well-being, seek their advice and prayers, and express his appreciation for their willingness to be in Malaysia to share their knowledge and wisdom, as well as to promote Islamic teachings in the country.
“Alhamdulillah wa syukrulillah. Amid my busy daily schedule, I had the opportunity to stop by Nasyrul Quran to visit three eminent Islamic scholars who are currently in Malaysia.
“May the visit by these scholars bring greater knowledge, blessings and love for the religion, while strengthening our efforts to build a society that is virtuous, knowledgeable and lives in harmony, insya-Allah,” he said.
