IPOH, Aug 17 (Bernama) -- A total of 222 asnaf youth in Perak will undergo Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programmes organised by the Perak Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (MAIPk) to prepare for a better future.
MAIPk said the three fields, Oil and Gas, Industrial Automation, and Maritime Culinary, were chosen for their strong job prospects and industry-relevant skills.
The send-off ceremony for the participants was officiated by MAIPk Asnaf Empowerment Division general manager, Amirudin Osman, at the Darul Ridzuan Islamic Complex here yesterday.
"The participants also attended a special motivational session before starting their training to build self-confidence, recognise their potential, and broaden their minds to the opportunities ahead.
"They were encouraged to see this training not just as a chance to earn a skills certificate, but as a starting point to transform their own lives and those of their families," MAIPk said in a Facebook post today.
MAIPk said in addition to enhancing technical competencies, the training is designed to also build character, discipline and confidence in preparation for entering the workforce.
"Every participant is a trust, and every opportunity given is hope for a better life. This is MAIPk TVET. Creating opportunities, building lives. Best of luck to all 222 asnaf youth of Perak.
“Make this opportunity your launching pad to a brighter future," the statement read.
