MELAKA, Aug 14 (Bernama) -- Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor paid a courtesy call on Yang Dipertua Negeri of Melaka Tun Dr Mohd Ali Mohd Rustam today, further strengthening relations between the two states.
The meeting took place at Istana Melaka, Bukit Beruang here.
According to a statement from the Sabah Chief Minister’s Office, Hajiji and his delegation arrived at about 3.35 pm and were received by Tun Mohd Ali.
During the meeting, they discussed various matters of mutual interest involving Sabah and Melaka.
“The visit also served as a platform to strengthen ties and exchange views on various matters concerning the interests of Sabah and Melaka,” read the statement.
Also accompanying Hajiji were Sabah Rural Development Minister Datuk Rubin Balang, Sabah Agriculture, Fisheries and Food Industry Minister Datuk Jamawi Jaafar and Nominated Member of the Sabah State Legislative Assembly Datuk Mohd Razali Mohd Razi.
The meeting concluded with an afternoon tea hosted by Tun Mohd Ali.
