12/08/2026 05:09 PM

MOSCOW, Aug 12 (Bernama-Sputnik/RIA Novosti) -- OPEC+ countries with voluntary restrictions increased oil production by 1.52 million barrels per day in July to 34.53 million barrels per day, the International Energy Agency (IEA) said in its latest report on Wednesday, reported Sputnik/RIA Novosti.

This was still 6.02 million barrels per day below their combined quota.

According to the tables attached in the report, the total OPEC+ oil production in July amounted to 34.53 million barrels per day against 33 million barrels in June.

The oil production of the 17 parties to the agreement (excluding Mexico, Iran, Libya and Venezuela) increased during this period to 28.06 million barrels per day.

However, the target quota level, taking into account the voluntary restrictions of the seven countries and their compensation schedules, was 34.08 million barrels per day in July.

Thus, OPEC+ countries produced 0.45 million barrels per day above the target.
