KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 11 (Bernama) -- Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan and Fijian Foreign and External Trade Minister Sakiasi Raisevu Ditoka on Tuesday discussed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation between Malaysia and Fiji.
Mohamad said the cooperation covers the fields of trade and investment, human capital development, forestry, renewable energy, and culture.
“Just hosted a lunch on the occasion of the working visit by The Excellency Sakiasi Raisevu Ditoka.
“Also exchanged views on regional and global issues, as well as on deepening cooperations with Pacific nations,” he said, in a Facebook post.
Ditoka is in Malaysia for a working visit from Aug 9 to 12. On Monday, he officiated the reopening of the High Commission of Fiji in Kuala Lumpur.
The Foreign Ministry in a statement on Sunday said total bilateral trade between Malaysia and Fiji amounted to RM880.01 million (US$206.2 million) in 2025, with Malaysia’s exports valued at RM867.92 million (US$203.41 million) and imports from Fiji at RM12.09 million (US$2.80 million).
