Mongolian Mining Expects First Half 2026 Profit After Loss

07/08/2026 12:19 PM

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 7 (Bernama) -- Mongolian Mining Corporation is expected to record a consolidated net profit of between approximately US$100.0 million and US$110.0 million for the six months ended June 30, 2026, compared with a consolidated net loss of US$19.9 million reported for the same period in 2025. (US$1=RM4.08)

The company said in a statement that the expected profit was primarily driven by increased washed coking coal sales volume and improved average selling prices, which resulted in higher revenue compared with the corresponding period in 2025, alongside the commencement of production at the gold mine and other net income.

The company is still in the process of finalising the interim results for the first half of 2026, and the information provided is based on a preliminary assessment by the board of directors solely on the basis of the unaudited consolidated management accounts for the six months ended June 30, 2026.

Mongolian Mining Corporation said the information has not yet been reviewed, confirmed or audited by its independent external auditors or audit committee and may be subject to adjustments.

The company will provide further details of the group’s performance in its interim results announcement in August.
