DAMASCUS, Aug 7 (Bernama-SANA) -- The “Palestine Overland Convoy” arrived the Turkish city of Gaziantep Thursday as part of its international journey toward the Palestinian territories, where it received a warm public reception from local residents, Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported.
The convoy was welcomed by Syrian activists, members of the Syrian community in Türkiye, and supporters of various nationalities, in a demonstration of continued solidarity with the Palestinian people and their just cause.
The Gaziantep stop constitutes part of an overland journey that set off in late July from the city of Srebrenica in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the participation of around 1,000 supporters from several European and Arab countries.
Having crossed Albania and Greece before entering Türkiye, the convoy is expected to proceed through Iraq and Jordan before reaching the Palestinian territories.
