Amazon Capitalisation Exceeds US$3 Trln For First Time

WASHINGTON, Aug 3 (Bernama-Sputnik/RIA Novosti) -- The market capitalisation of United States (US) company Amazon has risen above the US$3 trillion mark for the first time in history, according to trading data on Monday, reported Sputnik/RIA Novosti.

As of 13:46 GMT, Amazon shares had surged 5.71 per cent to a record high US$287.10, bringing the company’s market capitalisation to US$3.096 trillion.

Previously, companies such as Apple, Nvidia, Microsoft and Alphabet have surpassed this mark.

In October 2025, Nvidia became the first company in history to reach a market capitalisation exceeding $5 trillion.

Amazon is one of the world's largest online retailers, operating in the US, Canada, China, Brazil, Japan and Europe.

The Amazon.com online store was launched in July 1995.
