KUALA LUMPUR, July 3 (Bernama) -- National women's lawn bowler Emma Firyana Saroji is now ranked No 1 in the world.
Based on the updated women's world ranking in the World Bowls Series, Emma occupies the top spot with 787 points.
Australia's Jamie-lee Worsnop is ranked second with 709 points, followed by Hong Kong's Cheryl Chan (694 points).
For the record, Emma Firyana won the women's singles World Cup crown at the Juara Stadium in Bukit Kiara in November last year.
The 39-year-old is set to lead Malaysia's charge in the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland, from July 23-Aug 2.
