KUALA LUMPUR, April 16 (Bernama) -- Ceres Power Holdings plc (Ceres) has launched Ceres Endura, its flagship solid oxide stack platform designed to meet growing demand for resilient and efficient onsite power for data centres and other energy-intensive applications.
According to a company statement, the platform enables partners to access both power and hydrogen markets from a shared production base.
The systems can be installed and commissioned within months, avoiding the long lead times associated with grid upgrades and conventional infrastructure.
Ceres Endura supports high-voltage direct current architectures of up to 800 volts and beyond, aligned with modern data centre standards and enabling fast load response within a compact footprint. The platform is engineered to deliver reliable power, reduce risk, and support scalable deployment.
Using steel-supported cells, the platform operates at lower temperatures of 450 to 630 degrees Celsius compared with conventional high-temperature solid oxide systems, allowing the use of widely available, cost-effective, and recyclable materials.
The proprietary design reduces overall fuel cell system costs by around one-third while lowering supply chain risks, supporting gigawatt-scale manufacturing across power and hydrogen applications.
For power generation, Ceres Endura delivers over 65 per cent electrical efficiency on natural gas and more than 90 per cent total efficiency in combined heat and power applications. It is also designed to withstand real-world operating conditions, including rapid load changes and power cycles.
When integrated with industrial heat sources, the platform achieves around 30 per cent higher efficiency than conventional low-temperature electrolysis, helping to reduce operating costs and support large-scale hydrogen production.
