07/01/2026 01:20 PM

JAKARTA, Jan 7 (Bernama) -- The Indonesian government has prepared a budget of between 53 to 60 trillion rupiah for disaster emergency response under the 2026 State Budget (APBN).

State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi said the funds could be utilised at any time in a disaster emergency event.

“Regarding disaster-related issues, the final calculation is still under way and is estimated to reach 53 to 60 trillion rupiah, and this has already been allocated in the 2026 State Budget.

“This ready-to-use fund is allocated to National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) and can be utilised at any time should an emergency or disaster occur,” he was quoted in a statement issued by the Presidential Communication Office, Wednesday.

Prasetyo said the government has also allocated separate funds for post-disaster recovery.

“With regard to recovery processes, rehabilitation, and reconstruction, as well as the restoration of public facilities, there are allocations outside the ready-to-use funds,” he said.

State spending in the 2026 State Budget, which was approved by the House of Representatives (DPR) in late September 2025 is set at 3,842.7 trillion rupiah, while state revenue is projected at 3,153.6 trillion rupiah, with the fiscal deficit estimated at 2.68 per cent of gross domestic product (GDP).

Prasetyo said the 2026 State Budget is expected to deliver tangible benefits to the public and the economy for a sovereign, just, and prosperous Indonesia.
