Laos attracted 3.7 million foreign tourists in the first 10 months of this year, with more visitors from Thailand, Vietnam and China. Tourism is buoyed by the high-speed railway connecting China.
2. INTEGRATED COMMERCIAL PROJECT TAKES OFF -- VIENTIANE TIMES
Construction of the RM198 million (US$48 million) Haiwan International Community, an integrated development project in Vientiane, began on Monday. The first phase, which involves the construction of a 13-storey apartment, will be completed in June 2026.
