1.SOARING VIETNAMESE INVESTMENTS IN LAOS -- VIENTIANE TIMES
Vietnam’s investment in Laos reached RM10 billion (US$2.5 billion) in 2025. The investments were in electricity, mining and agriculture. Laos approved 95 investment projects during the first 10 months of this year.
2.LAOS-VIETNAM RAILWAY PROJECT BEGINS IN 2026 -- VIENTIANE TIMES
Construction of the Laos-Vietnam Railway, linking Vientiane with Ha Tinh province in central Vietnam, is slated to begin next year and be operational by 2030. Laos will have direct access to sea trade route.

Myanmar delivered relief aid to Sri Lanka affected by Cyclone Ditwah last month. About nine metric tonnes of medicines, medical supplies and personal health items were dispatched to Colombo. Nearly 900,000 people were affected.
