CAMBODIA

 

1.US-ASEAN SEEK DEEPER ECONOMIC TIES -- AGENCE KAMPUCHEA PRESSE 

The US-ASEAN Business Council will open an office in Cambodia to improve bilateral economic ties. This will enable US companies to expand in the automotive sector, industrial development, technology collaboration and digital financing. 

 

2.LANCANG-MEKONG SHAPING TRADE ECOSYSTEM -- AGENCE KAMPUCHEA PRESSE 

The Lancang-Mekong Innovation Corridor was launched to boost cross-border science and technology collaboration in Southeast Asia. The Lancang-Mekong Cooperation aims to remove trade barriers, harmonise standards and promote research.

 

 

MYANMAR

 

1.PYINOOLWIN HAILED AS CITY OF FLOWERS -- THE GLOBAL NEW LIGHT OF MYANMAR

PyinOoLwin City will be named the “City of Flowers” for its famous flower cultivation and production. It will be hosting its 18th Immersive Flowers Festival from  December 6 to  January 4, 2026.

 

2. ASIAN ALLIANCE TO PROTECT CULTURAL HERITAGE --  THE GLOBAL NEW LIGHT OF MYANMAR

Myanmar called for the establishment of a network across Asia to support the preservation of cultural heritage throughout the continent. The suggestion was made at the Alliance for Cultural Heritage in Asia meeting held in Chongqing, China.

 

PHILIPPINES

 

1.TWO WEATHER SYSTEMS TO DAMPEN PARTS OF PHILIPPINES -- PHILIPPINE NEWS AGENCY 

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) affecting southern Mindanao will bring scattered rains and thunderstorms across Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi on Wednesday.

 

2.ROQUE ENCOURAGES EXPORTERS TO MAXIMIZE OPPORTUNITIES TO BOOST SECTOR -- PHILIPPINE NEWS AGENCY

Citing the expansion in Philippine exports, Trade and Industry Secretary Cristina Roque on Tuesday called on exporters to maximize opportunities to further bolster the sector.

1.APPLE TAP TO PAY NOW AVAILABLE ON IPHONES IN SINGAPORE -- THE STRAITS TIMES

Apple has announced that Tap to Pay on iPhone is now available in Singapore, allowing merchants to use the iPhone as a contactless payment terminal.

 

2.TOUCHING LIVES, CREATING VALUE: TEMASEK POLYTECHNIC CCA EMPOWERS STUDENTS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS -- THE STRAITS TIMES

Temasek Polytechnic’s special interest group SENvocates focuses on raising awareness of people with disabilities and special education needs. It has helped many members become more open about their conditions and advocate for others. 

 

 

VIETNAM

 

1.MAKING HEALTHCARE FREE FOR ALL CITIZENS -- VIETNAMPLUS

The government is enhancing its social policy system by pushing towards zero-fee medical treatment and regular health checks for all citizens. The move will lessen burden on the people and promote easy access to healthcare.

 

2.FLOODS DAMAGE RAILWAY INFRASTRUCTURES -- VIETNAMPLUS

The railway sector suffered infrastructure damage estimated at RM8 million (US$1.9 million) during the November floods in the South Central region. Over 100 passenger trains and 65 cargo trains were suspended due to floods.
