UniSZA, MSR Growth Forge Partnership To Boost Agricultural Research

PASIR PUTEH, Dec 1 (Bernama) -- The Faculty of Bioresources and Food Industry at Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA) today signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) with MSR Growth Sdn Bhd to establish strategic cooperation in research, industrial training, technology transfer and advisory services in the agriculture and bio-industry sectors.

Dean of the Faculty of Bioresources and Food Industry Prof Dr Hafizan Juahir said the signing aims to strengthen academic–industry collaboration to drive innovation, technological development and entrepreneurial opportunities in the agro-industrial field.

He said the scope of collaboration includes joint research in agricultural microbiology, student placements for industrial training, knowledge transfer through workshops or seminars, consultancy services and shared expertise.

“This partnership is a very good opportunity that will benefit both parties, with many more potential areas to be developed together,” he said at the signing ceremony held here today.

At the event, UniSZA was represented by Dr Hafizan, while MSR Growth Sdn Bhd was represented by its Director, Muhammad Saifullah Ramli.

Meanwhile, Muhammad Saifullah said the LoI signing will bring significant benefits to both parties.

“As we know, UniSZA has strong research expertise, laboratories, facilities and highly knowledgeable researchers.

“The reality faced by farmers today is their dependence on chemical inputs, which is the main reason for rising costs, declining soil fertility and unstable yields. Therefore, we have developed organic-based products formulated with probiotics and plant nutrients that are safer, offering better alternatives for farmers,” he said.

MSR Growth is a company involved in agricultural business.
