SBC Medical Partners BLEZ To Bring Japanese-Quality Aesthetic Medicine To Thailand

17/11/2025 02:32 PM

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 17 (Bernama) -- SBC Medical Group Holdings Inc has entered a consulting agreement with Thailand-based BLEZ ASIA Co Ltd as part of its strategy to expand into the rapidly growing Thai aesthetic medicine market.

In a statement, the company said the partnership will support BLEZ’s plan to open a new dermatology-focused clinic in Bangkok’s Asok district by year-end, focusing on dermatological treatments such as pigmentation and spot removal.

Under the agreement, SBC will provide management support, develop clinical protocols in line with its quality standards, and advise on medical device selection tailored to local skin characteristics and environmental conditions.

“Partnering with a trusted local leader in this fast-growing market is a significant step forward in our Asia strategy. Together, we intend to create a model where Japan’s advanced medical services can take root locally and deliver new value,” said SBC chief executive officer (CEO),Yoshiyuki Aikawa.

Meanwhile, BLEZ CEO, Naoki Iida said: “By combining our strengths, we aim to firmly establish Japanese-standard, high-quality medical services in Thailand and build a trusted brand for years to come.”

SBC operates more than 250 clinics globally and records over six million patient visits annually. The collaboration aims to meet demand among Japanese expatriates in Thailand before expanding to the wider Thai market and pursuing further opportunities across ASEAN.

Industry data shows Thailand’s aesthetic medicine sector was valued at approximately US$372.24 million in 2024 and is projected to reach US$1.118 billion by 2033, supported by a compound annual growth rate of 13.51 per cent from 2025 to 2033, reinforcing the country’s status as a medical tourism hub. Despite a sizeable Japanese expatriate population of about 60,000, the market has relatively few providers offering Japanese-standard aesthetic treatments, creating opportunities for large medical groups to provide consistent and reliable services.

BLEZ, a Japanese-owned company with over 20 clinics and pharmacies in Thailand, brings a trusted local presence, serving both Japanese expatriates and local patients. Its network includes internal medicine, dentistry, veterinary services, and pharmaceutical distribution.

The agreement follows SBC’s expansion into Singapore in November 2024 through a partnership with Aesthetic Healthcare Holdings, marking another step in the company’s ASEAN growth strategy.
