KUCHING, Nov 15 (Bernama) -- The trade mechanism and details, including setting of prices, in the ASEAN Power Grid (APG) initiative is determined between countries involved.
Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof said for the time being, there was no specific setting for the APG initiative that ASEAN countries have to follow.
“We can sell energy via the APG. That means between countries in ASEAN, we can share energy but there needs to be trade details.
“We should determine the matter, including a mechanism, but for example, a success story already exists as what happened with the power integration project involving Laos, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore. This concept can be used as an example,” he told reporters when met at the Malam Warisan Budaya Bangsa MADANI Berkhidmat: Misi Sukarelawan Siswa YSS-ASEAN Ke Sarawak 2025 dinner here tonight.
