Lighthouse Canton Secures US$40 Mln Funding For Next Phase Of Growth

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 11 (Bernama) -- Global investment institution, Lighthouse Canton has raised US$40 million in a strategic investment round led by Peak XV Partners to accelerate its next phase of growth. (US$1=RM4.15)

The investment round was joined by Nextinfinity, the investment holding company of Shyam Maheshwari (founding partner of SSG Capital, later Ares SSG), and early investor Qatar Insurance Company (QIC).

“We have built Lighthouse Canton with an institutional mindset independently. For more than 10 years we have been guided by a long-term vision of creating a world-class investment platform.

“With Peak XV and our strategic partners, we are deepening our capabilities, institutionalising further, and positioning ourselves for the next decade of growth,” said Lighthouse Canton Group Chief Executive Officer, Shilpi Chowdhary in a statement.

This is Lighthouse Canton’s first external fundraise, and the capital will be deployed to enhance technology infrastructure, attract senior talent, expand its product capabilities, and pursue geographic growth opportunities across high-potential markets.

This strategic funding marks a new chapter in its journey and one that focuses on scale, innovation, and institutional depth, while continuing to deliver exceptional value to clients.

The firm operates two core businesses — wealth management, offering bespoke family and business advisory services, and asset management, delivering institutional-grade strategies across public and private markets. Its strong regional presence and cross-border expertise have underpinned its steady growth and client trust.
