PUTRAJAYA, Nov 10 (Bernama) -- Public service reforms under the Public Service Reform Agenda (ARPA) will continue to be strengthened through the Rancakkan MADANI Bersama Malaysiaku Programme and the 2025 National Public Service Reform Convention, scheduled to take place from Dec 5 to 7.

Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar said the programme, to be held at the grounds of the Palace of Justice here, is being organised in conjunction with the third anniversary of the MADANI Government administration, which emphasises reform, human values, and balance between material and spiritual development.

“This year’s event will feature various interactive segments open to the public, including the International Energy Convention, MADANI Berselawat, and a range of community activities centred on the balance between worldly and spiritual well-being,” he told the media after attending an engagement session with editors-in-chief here today.

The Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) was represented by chief executive officer Datin Paduka Nur-ul Afida Kamaludin and editor-in-chief Arul Rajoo Durar Raj.

Shamsul Azri said the three-day programme will serve as a national benchmark to showcase how policy reforms are translated into tangible outcomes that directly benefit the people.

“The programme is open to all and free of charge…we will be offering many exciting activities for the public,” he said, adding that Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim will officiate at the closing ceremony on Dec 7.

According to the Performance Acceleration Coordination Unit (PACU), the programme comprises two main components, including the Rancakkan MADANI Bersama Malaysiaku, which features interactive exhibitions and public engagement sessions highlighting various government services and initiatives under Malaysia MADANI.

It will also feature the 2025 National Public Service Reform Convention, which will include high-level sessions with the Prime Minister, the Chief Secretary, and senior public service leadership to discuss the direction, achievements and challenges of public sector reform towards 2026 and beyond, up to 2030.

With the theme "Rancakkan MADANI Bersama Malaysiaku", this year’s programme focuses on three key objectives: to assess and showcase the progress of ARPA and the Special Taskforce on Agency Reform (STAR); to strengthen a culture of performance, integrity and empathy in the public service; and to reinforce collaboration among the government, private sector and people through a Whole-of-Nation approach.

“Reform is not an option but a necessity. It is a shared journey between the government, civil servants and the people to ensure governance that is transparent, efficient and effective,” Shamsul Azri said.
