Queen Graces Putrajaya FOI 2025

PUTRAJAYA, Nov 6 (Bernama) -- Her Majesty Raja Zarith Sofiah, Queen of Malaysia, today graced the Putrajaya Festival of Ideas (FOI) 2025, a prestigious platform bringing together academia and industry to drive innovation and national development.

Her Majesty arrived at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC) at 9.30 am, accompanied by the wife of the Regent of Johor, Che' Puan Mahkota Khaleeda Bustamam, who is also Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) Pro-Chancellor.

Also present was Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir.

Her Majesty also graced keynote lectures by Prof Dr Hisham A. Hellyer of the Royal United Services Institute for Defence, United Kingdom, and Associate Professor Dr Khairudin Aljunied of the National University of Singapore, affiliated with the International Institute of Islamic Thought and Civilization (ISTAC-IIUM).

The lectures titled "Adab as Moral Compass: From Principle to Practice in Our Troubled World" and "The Future of Muslim Scholar-Activism in Southeast Asia", highlight issues of Islamic education, moral values and the future direction of scholars in the region.

Putrajaya FOI 2025, running from Nov 4 to 8, is expected to draw nearly 500,000 on-site visitors and around two million, including 1.5 million joining virtually from around the world.

Now in its second year, Putrajaya FOI 2025 serves not only as a platform for exchanging ideas but also as a premier forum for transforming knowledge and creativity into solutions that advance public welfare and national development.

Themed MADANI: Melakar Masa Depan, Merealisasikan Idea, Putrajaya FOI 2025 embodies a whole-of-government collaboration, bringing together ministries, agencies, and industry to foster intellectual discourse and innovations that can be shared with the nation.
