KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 17 (Bernama) -- Parking Guidance Systems LLC (PGS), a United States (US)-based provider of custom parking technologies, has announced a strategic merger with INDECT Electronics & Distribution GmbH (INDECT) and ParkZen.
The move would expand its operations internationally, combining INDECT’s hardware expertise, ParkZen’s software capabilities and its own track record in large-scale deployments.
In a statement, PGS said the companies, together, form one of the most comprehensive parking technology providers in the industry.
PGS Chief Executive Officer, Derek Frantz said the company aimed to redefine parking as a revenue generator rather than a cost centre.
“By combining INDECT’s precision hardware, ParkZen’s intelligent software and PGS’s proven execution, we can deliver integrated systems tailored to operators worldwide, helping them maximise efficiency, improve user experience and unlock new financial value,” he said.
Since its establishment 12 years ago, PGS has installed some of the largest parking guidance systems in the US, building its reputation on innovation, efficient design, installation and support services.
The company has been INDECT’s largest channel partner in the US, deploying INDECT’s Ultrasonic Mini sensors for single-space detection and Upsolut camera sensors for multi-space monitoring, licence plate recognition and occupancy analytics.
Integration with INDECT will streamline supply chains, accelerate product development and expand international partnerships.
PGS also strengthened its portfolio through the acquisition of ParkZen, a software firm that developed a smartphone app providing real-time parking data, wayfinding solutions, payment processing and permit management tools.
These acquisitions mark an invaluable vertical integration for PGS, underscoring its commitment to deliver innovative parking solutions across industries such as airports, universities, corporate campuses, healthcare facilities and mixed-use developments.
