KUALA LUMPUR, June 23 (Bernama) -- The Taiwan Excellence Pavilion at Taiwan Expo 2025 serves as a “bridge” connecting Taiwan’s top innovations with Malaysia’s key growth areas, particularly in digital transformation and green industry.

Taiwan External Trade Development Council (Taitra) executive director of strategic marketing Brian Lee said the pavilion features more than 40 selected “Made in Taiwan” products from 27 award-winning companies, covering smart and green technology as well as healthy living solutions, areas that are highly relevant to Malaysia’s current needs.

“We want our Malaysian friends to know that Taiwanese products are not only good in quality but also highly innovative and well-designed.

“Also, we have found many partners to import goods from Taiwan to Malaysia, especially in the areas of information and communications technology, healthcare, and food,” he told reporters at the Taiwan Excellence Pavilion today.

In addition, he said that a recent promotional event at Plaza Low Yat received a positive response, reflecting Malaysian consumers’ strong appreciation for innovative Taiwanese products.

“Taiwan and Malaysia are great partners, and we have a constantly growing bilateral trade. Malaysia’s vibrant market and Taiwan's innovative spirit are a perfect match, so let us explore new opportunities together,” he said.

Among the innovative products highlighted at the pavilion are Hydrolight (beauty and skin solutions), GHG (healthcare solutions focusing on mechanical walkers), Hepty (handheld fire extinguisher), Systex (cloud computing, data analytics, cybersecurity, and software development services), and MCM (plant-based cutting fluid).

Meanwhile, Goang Hann Enterprise Co Ltd sales manager Tim Ko told Bernama that while the company has long specialised in aluminium manufacturing, it has recently diversified into medical products by developing mechanical walkers under its own brand, GHG.

“The reason we have expanded into innovative mobility aids is due to the growing ageing population and the increasing demand for medical support products,” he explained.

He said that Goang Hann currently offers the GHG R1 and R2 series products, with the U1 series set to launch in the fourth quarter of 2025, followed by the H1 series, which is currently in development.

“Unique features of our walker include front-wheel steering for better control and rear-wheel deceleration that matches the user’s walking speed, with settings of 0 degree, 90 degree and 360 degree,” he said.

According to Ko, the company is currently in discussions with several Malaysian companies to appoint a local distributor.

Meanwhile, Lee said that an industry exchange will be held tomorrow (June 24), featuring more than 30 Malaysian business representatives from various industries, to deepen bilateral cooperation opportunities.
