MINA, June 4 (Bernama-SPA) -- Kidana Development Company, the primary developer of the holy sites, launched the two-storey tent project in Mina, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
The initiative marks a series of significant transformations in pilgrim accommodation at the holy sites by providing exceptional lodging that ensures a suitable environment for pilgrims with permanent solutions and high-quality operational efficiency, contributing to their comfort and tranquillity.
Kidana confirmed that the double-decker tent project was executed in partnership with the private sector, accounting for 75 percent of the total project.
It covers an accommodation area exceeding 20,000 square metres, comprising over 40 buildings, and equipped with more than 550 bathrooms. The construction took approximately 100 days to complete.
The project aims to accommodate approximately 8,000 pilgrims from within and outside the Kingdom.
Its objective is to enrich the pilgrim experience, increase capacity, and improve the quality of accommodation services in Mina, ensuring a comfortable and safe residential environment for the pilgrims with a modern engineering design that combines quality and sustainability, while maintaining the area's unique character.
