Grassroots Embrace Of Malaysia MADANI Gains Ground In Demit Setia Bakti Community

KOTA BHARU, May 24 (Bernama) -- Public understanding of the Malaysia MADANI policy framework is growing steadily in the MADANI Demit Setia Bakti community, following a series of grassroots engagement efforts over the past year.

Several community talks and outreach programmes have helped residents better understand the core principles of the initiative, according to Mohamad Daud Omar, who leads the local Madani community group.

“We aim to ensure people receive reliable information, not half-truths or rumours circulating online.

“In today’s digital world, misinformation spreads fast. If we don’t step in, it can create confusion and distrust among the public,” he told Bernama at the Jiwa MADANI Demit Setia Programme today.

Held in partnership with the Kota Bharu District Information Office and the State Health Department, the programme also offered free health screenings to around 100 residents.

Mohamad Daud stressed that as a grassroots body, the MADANI Community plays a key role not just in public education, but also in strengthening social bonds.

“These talks are not only about helping people understand government policies, they’re about bringing the community closer together,” he said.

Unity, he added, remains central to the MADANI vision.

“We want to strengthen community ties so that the peace and harmony we enjoy today can continue for future generations,” he added.

As the event concluded, organisers distributed food baskets to attendees as a gesture of appreciation and support.
