Wasiyyah Shoppe Expects 20,000 Customers To Use Its Hibah Mobile Application

KUALA LUMPUR, April 1 (Bernama) -- Wasiyyah Shoppe Bhd anticipates that around 20,000 customers will utilise its Usra Hibah Digital Document (UsraHDD) mobile application during the financial years of 2024 and 2025, generating transactions worth up to RM40 million.

In a statement, the company said it recently obtained the first hibah confirmation order from the Johor Shariah Court on March 31, 2024, for its customers' digital hibah documents delivered through UsraHDD. 

Wasiyyah Shoppe chief executive officer Ariffin Sabirin said that via the application, hibah donors and recipients could sign hibah digitally through mobile phones in real-time and from anywhere.

He said the company had tried to develop various online methods to make it easier for its customers to make hibah without having to meet physically since the Covid-19 pandemic. 

"Although we have succeeded in helping customers through a tele-video method, we have found that this method is still inefficient and time-consuming, as Internet line disruptions will cause the hibah contract process to be interrupted, and the process will have to be repeated.

"Hence, we continue to innovate in search of better methods and after almost two years, the effort has succeeded with the introduction of the UsraHDD mobile application," he said. 

Following the first hibah confirmation order for the UsraHDD grant document, Wasiyyah Shoppe has emerged as the only trust company in Malaysia that offers hibah services via the method of preparing physical documents that need to be signed, the tele-video method and the digital grant document method.

Ariffin added that this achievement opens up a great opportunity for the company to explore market cooperation with financial institutions in the domestic and international markets as well as strengthen its position as a leader in the estate planning and management industry in Malaysia.
