KUALA LUMPUR, March 21 (Bernama) -- Co-opbank Pertama (CBP) has launched an online platform for purchasing vehicle takaful and road tax, aligning with the expansion of digital banking services.
The cooperative bank announced that the service is offered in partnership with CBP's digital strategic partner, Sedania As-Salam, and digital platform operator Senang.
Chief commercial officer Mohd Faris Kamaruddin said the service enables customers to select the takaful provider offering the best protection at the most competitive price while enabling users to easily renew their vehicle’s road tax. "Customers can complete Vehicle Takaful and Road Tax transactions in just a few minutes using this platform. Payments are accepted through bank accounts or credit cards," he said in a statement.
He expressed confidence that the new service would attract a larger customer base and more CBP members to purchase vehicle takaful and renew road tax with CBP. He projected that the vehicle takaful purchase and road tax renewal service is expected to benefit over 400,000 customers and CBP members.
To access the service, customers simply need to visit the CBP website or scan the QR code available at CBP branches nationwide or through CBP's social media channels, according to the statement.
