MDC Asia Link reopens Pusrawi Maternity Hospital and Polyclinic

KUALA LUMPUR, March 20 (Bernama) -- MDC Asia Link Bhd has officially reopened Pusrawi Maternity Hospital and Polyclinic, Kota Damansara at a refurbishment cost of RM5 million.

In a statement today, the halal healthcare solution provider said the hospital would be a flagship branch to other group operations in terms of its management, operations, and design.

Founder and chief executive officer Aslan Bacho said the reopening of Pusrawi Maternity Hospital and Polyclinic was the beginning of the group’s move to further strengthen its presence in the halal health sector in Malaysia and throughout the region.

“Our move to take over and give a new look to the hospital is a stepping stone for the group to open more mother and child care concepts hospitals across the country in the future.

“The group has identified several potential hospitals to be acquired or to have most of its shares” he said.

He said the group’s plans to own hospitals, as well as other healthcare services is to offer the people the best medical solutions at affordable prices.

Aslan said various other services will be offered at the hospital, with the main attractions to be introduced include the after mothers confinement centre maternity known as ‘The Sanctuary-Pusrawi’, which provides postpartum and baby care services.

“This concept will provide absolute convenience and comfort to Pusrawi Maternity Hospital and Polyclinic’s customers,” he added.

At the moment, the group has more than 14 outlets of My Dental Care dental clinics around the Klang Valley, pharmacies, as well as the Hi-Doctor mobile application under the ‘Digital Health Citizen’ initiative.

MDC Asia Link said it is also optimistic that the reopening of the hospital, as well as its plans to have more hospitals will help expedite the group’s aim to be listed on Bursa Malaysia, which is expected to be realised over the next few years.
