MELAKA, Jan 14 -- The Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) could help the Melaka government to boost the economic in the state with the dissemination of the best and accurate information.
Melaka Chief Minister Adly Zahari said it was hoped that Bernama would work closely with the state government to provide more information and knowledge to the people of the state.
"We are confident that (Bernama) can help us boost the state economy by disseminating the best and accurate information to the public. I am confident that Bernama can fulfill that responsibility," he told Bernama here today.
Earlier, he received a courtesy call from Bernama chief executive officer Nurini Kassim and editor-in-chief Datuk Mokhtar Hussain at his office in Seri Negeri, Ayer Keroh here.
Also present were Bernama deputy editor-in-chief (News) Abdul Rahman Ahmad and Melaka bureau chief Fadzli Ramli.
During the visit, Adly also shared on the progress of the Melaka ports, including the Kuala Linggi Port, which is the oil and gas port; Tanjung Bruas Port (container port); and a new port planned for cruise ships in Kota Syahbandar here.
